Inverter Air Conditioner

Inverter air conditioners vary their cooling/heating capacity by adjusting the power supply frequency of their compressors. This type air conditioner adjusts the speed of the compressor to control the refrigerant (gas) flow rate, thereby consuming less current and power. An inverter has precise temperature control and as the set temperature is attained, the unit adjusts its capacity to eliminate any temperature fluctuations.

Non-Inverter Air Conditioner

Non-inverter air conditioners have a fixed cooling/ heating capacity and can only control the indoor temperature by starting or stopping their compressors. The power consumption and current goes down when the operation stops, but it goes up sharply at the time of restart and thus it has high average power consumption and temperature variations..

Split Air Conditioner

The split air conditioner comprises of two parts the outdoor unit and the indoor unit. The outdoor unit, fitted outside the room, houses components like the compressor, condenser and expansion valve. The indoor unit comprises the evaporator or cooling coil and the cooling fan. For this unit you don’t have to make any slot in the wall of the room. Further, present day split units have aesthetic appeal and do not take up as much space as a window unit. A split air conditioner can be used to cool one or two rooms.

Central Air Conditioner

Central air conditioning is used for cooling big buildings, houses, offices, entire hotels, gyms, movie theaters, factories etc. If the whole building is to be air conditioned, HVAC engineers find that putting individual units in each of the rooms is very expensive making this a better option. A central air conditioning system is comprised of a huge compressor that has the capacity to produce hundreds of tons of air conditioning. Cooling big halls, malls, huge spaces, galleries etc is usually only feasible with central conditioning units. .

Portable Air Conditioner

A portable air conditioning unit extracts hot air from your room and exhausts it to the outside to ensure that your space has the desired temperature. Just like central air conditioners or any other type of air conditioners, this self-contained cooling system uses a refrigerant to cool the air in your room. This fluid flows in the system and changes state during the cooling process.

window Air Conditioner

window air conditioner is the most commonly used air conditioner for single rooms. In this air conditioner all the components, namely the compressor, condenser, expansion valve or coil, evaporator and cooling coil are enclosed in a single box. This unit is fitted in a slot made in the wall of the room, or more commonly a window sill.

Floor Standing Air Conditioner

Floor standing air conditioning units are compact and ideal for anyone wanting the convenience and access of positioning their unit closer to the floor. They come in a wide selection of capacities and can even be semi-recessed into the wall or in an unused fireplace. It is commonly used in places such as restaurants, halls, Hotels, Data centers.

Cassette Air Conditioner

Cassette units work the same way as wall-hung split system units, with the difference being that cassettes are installed into the ceiling instead of on the wall. The indoor unit itself sits flush to your ceiling and distributes conditioned air through two, three or four sides of the unit. The outdoor unit of a cassette air conditioner is mounted outside , in much the same way as it would be for a conventional wall mounted split system unit.
